The Tomahawk Area Historical Society has obtained a copy of an extremely interesting map of Lincoln County, published in approximately 1883, or just prior to the establishment of Tomahawk.  It therefore contains an excellent snapshot of roads and settlements as the Tomahawk Land and Boom Company first had its eye on the area and its development potential
